STYE -- BY RAIN HEALTH CARE

STYE --  BY RAIN HEALTH CARE

WHAT IS STYE?

  • STYE ALSO KNOWN AS HORDEOLUM.
  • IT IS AN ACUTE SUPPRATIVE INFLAMMATION OF THE FOLLICLE OF AN EYELASH OR ASSOCIATED GLAND OF ZEIS AND MOLL.

  • A stye is an infection of a gland in the eyelid that causes a red bump near the edge of the lid.

  • Dead skin, dirt, or oil buildup can clog or block these small holes. When a gland is blocked, bacteria can grow inside and cause a stye to develop. A stye is a small collection of pus. In most cases, the infection is caused by Staphylococcus bacteria.

TYPES OF STYE---------
